In this commission, the client presented a pre-existing design that was already under construction. This required the project to adapt to the existing layout and structural framework, refining what had been built and bringing coherence to the overall scheme.
With these constraints, the main circulations of the house were reorganized and clarified to ensure a functional and logical flow. A key request from the client was that the automobiles be visually prominent from the social area. In response, the design establishes direct views toward the vehicle zone, integrating it as an intentional part of the daily experience.
Morphologically, the project was strengthened to read as a sequence of articulated volumes. The steel structure was left exposed only in specific areas where highlighting the beams contributed to the architectural intention.
The client, a professional race car driver, located the house beside a lake within his property. This landscape feature became a central opportunity, guiding the orientation of the main spaces toward the water and maximizing long, open views. The social area maintains a continuous visual connection with both the competition vehicles and the surrounding natural environment, bringing together the client’s passions and the site’s inherent qualities.
